Beautiful Sassy needs a Forever Home!

Ellen and Sassy
Ellen and Sassy

Do you want the companionship of a pet, but don’t have the time to walk a dog? If you said “yes” than sweet Sassy (ID 584764) could be the perfect pet for you! This 10 year young gal, is laid back and likes to be with you. She will follow you around the house and greet you at the door when you come home. Sassy gets along with other felines, likes to give you head butts and is affectionate and loving. Sadly she was given up because her owner is moving and can’t take her along. Can Sassy be part of your family?

When you adopt from the Humane Society of Broward County the dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive preliminary vaccinations, cats are feline leukemia tested, and dogs over 7 months are tested for heartworm. They also receive a flea/tick preventative, a 10-day limited health care plan from VCA Animal Hospitals, 30 days of Trupanion Pet Insurance and a bag of Purina ONE pet food. The HSBC opens daily at 10:30 and is located at 2070 Griffin Road, a block west of I-95. For more details call 954-989-3977 ext. 6. To see who else is looking for a home visit www.humanebroward.com

#CATURDAYS:

The Humane Society of Broward County has had an influx of cats following all the summer storms. To help them find Forever Homes, every Saturday in November is a #Caturday. On these special days, adopt an adult cat for only $30, you’ll get $20 to spend on your new kitty at the on-site pet boutique! Here are some of the beautiful felines seeking a loving parent.

URGENT NEEDS:

Due to the large amount of kittens, cats, and other pocket pets in our shelter, we have been going through newspapers at an alarming rate... and now WE ARE OUT! 😱

If you have any newspapers in your house (or on their way to your recycling bin), can you PLEASE donate them to our shelter instead? Even one issue can help a handful of pets.

We use newspapers to line the cages of the shelter's cats, kittens, bunnies, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, and more. Because they're absorbent and disposable, they help keep the cages sanitary and provide a little bit of warmth.

The Humane Society of Broward County relies on volunteers to help with many of the programs and services at the shelter. Whether it is being a foster parent, doing an educational presentation, walking dogs or helping with pet adoptions, there are many opportunities available if you have some time to devote. For more details visit www.humanebroward.com
