Come join Easy 93.1 and Cox Media group supporting the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative’s 7th Annual Pink Walk! This year’s event is both a live outdoor and virtual 5K Walk/Run benefiting the Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative – an organization that’s transforming and saving lives while providing at-risk women, low-income populations, and college students with the disease prevention & early detection necessary to beat the odds of breast cancer and heart disease.

Saturday, September 23rd, 7 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.: Zero Prostate Cancer South Florida Run / Walk at Tamiami Park 11201 S.W. 24th St, 33165

This family-friendly event is an important way to unite together to ZERO out prostate cancer. Our caring community will celebrate prostate cancer survivors and caregivers and honor those that have been lost to the disease. There will be fun kids activities, including a special Kids Superhero Dash for Dad, to get everyone involved. Get details and register here.




Saturday, September 23rd, 9 a.m. - noon: Miami-Dade County’s final Adopt-a-Tree event for 2023, at the Dennis c. Moss Cultural Arts Center, 10950 S.W. 211th Street.

The Adopt-a-Tree program provides Miami-Dade County single-family and duplex homeowners with up to two free trees every year. Almost 225,500 trees have been adopted since the program’s inception in 2001.

Pre-registration will open in August (info will be at the link below) to select tree preferences, verify eligibility, and save time (Pre-registration info will be at the link below). Trees are still on a first-come, first-served basis, and while saving significant time, pre-registration does not guarantee trees or tree preferences as tree inventories are depleted.

Wednesday, September 27th, 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: City of North Miami Beach ‘Fall Into Health’ Senior Health & Wellness Fair at the McDonald Center at City Hall, 17051 N.E. 19th Ave., 33162

This free event will feature dozens of health screenings, lectures, free exercise classes, music & more. Admission is free, but registration is requested. Sign up here.


Sunday, September 30th, 7 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Inaugural ‘Run it Back’ 5k Run / Walk benefiting the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce and the Historic Society at Zoo Miami, 12400 S.W. 152nd St, 33177

This inaugural 5k will take runners through the 5K course throughout Zoo Miami. All runners will receive a branded T-shirt, participation medal, and the top three runners in designated categories will receive placement medals. Attendees will also enjoy a send-off and a wind-down set perfectly by sounds of a DJ, vendors, and to close out the morning, a group yoga session which will bring participants together to breath, stretch, and blow it all out.

Saturday, September 30th, 2023, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.: ‘Veterans Helping Hands Stand Down’, at the Don Taft Center at Nova Southeastern University, 3300 College Ave, Fort Lauderdale, 33314.

An all - purpose resource fair for Veterans is presented by United Way of Broward County’s MISSION UNITED in collaboration with Nova Southeastern University’s Veterans Health Clinic. The event will feature access to health and wellness consultations, legal & benefit assistance, community resources, employment opportunities and much more. Pre-registration is requested so they can provide you the highest level of services during the Veteran Stand Down. Register here.

Saturday, October 6th, 7 p.m. - 11 p.m.: City of Miramar’s ‘Latin Nights 2023′ at Miramar Cultural Center Banquet Hall, 2400 Civic Center Place, Miramar, 33025

Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at this exciting FREE Gala presented by Miramar Vice-Mayor, Alexandra Davis. The evening begins with a cocktail hour, followed by dinner, a Gala Awards Ceremony recognizing Hispanic Americans for Service & Contributions. Then get ready to dance, with live entertainment by Award-Winning Venezuelan-American singer, Edward Mena; dancers from Fajardo Elite Dance Academy, and Latin Soul Band, GianPaul.
