Featured Event: Miami-Dade County ‘Adopt-a-Tree’


Saturday, July 20, 2024, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. (or while supplies last), Miami-Dade County DERM ‘Adopt-a-Tree’ event at Harris Field Park, 1034 N.E. 8th St., Homestead, 33030

At the second Adopt-a-Tree event of 2024, Miami-Dade homeowners can receive 2 free trees to plant at home. Trees help provide shade, soak up water from the ground, produce oxygen, and reduce carbon in the atmosphere.

Trees available for this event are:

Barbados Cherry, Black Ironwood, Crabwood, Dahoon Holly, Grafted Mango, Green Buttonwood and Soursop. Trees will be available on a first come - first served basis, until they’re all gone. The County has about 2,000 trees for adoption.

The final Adopt-a-Tree event for 2024 will be on October 6th at Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus.
