A spokesperson for Golder Ranch Fire District told KGUN that its swift water rescue crew was sent to an area just west of Catalina at around 10 a.m. The man and two girls were rescued from the roof of their car after it was swept away in floodwaters, the television station reported.

The three were traveling east on Edwin Road when their car was caught by moving water, The Arizona Daily Star reported.

Spokesperson Adam Jarrold said the car was swept down after being caught in a wash near Edwin Road, about 20 to 25 yards from the crossing, KGUN reported. The family was rescued without injuries.

“So thankful that no one was hurt and everyone went home safe,” Golder Ranch Fire District tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
