This year’s Comic-Con was anything but normal, but some entertainment news was announced over the weekend’s panels, including news that Chucky the demonic doll is back.

But Chucky isn’t hitting the big screen this time; instead, the killer doll will headline his own television show.

This time, the Good Guy doll becomes yard sale fodder and coincidentally where Chucky goes, murder follows.

He’ll cut through “the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets,” Entertainment Weekly reported.

Chucky, however, won’t be going through it alone.

The story follows a 14-year-old boy, Jake, who is an artist who uses doll parts to make sculptures and is Chucky’s new owner.

“One of the things I wanted to do was bring [the franchise] back to its ‘Child’s Play’ roots and have the protagonists [be]kids,” series creator Don Mancini said, according to Entertainment Weekly. “But since, with the first couple of movies, we’d already delved into having little kids I wanted to explore something different, so this time we’re exploring young teenagers.”

In Comic-Con exclusive footage, creators showed a flashback of Charles Lee Ray as a child before he became a serial killer whose soul was transferred into a doll, Screen Rant reported.

Zackary Arthur is playing Chucky’s new owner, with the doll once again voiced by Brad Dourif. They will be joined by Lexa Doig, Devon Sawa, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise and Jennifer Tilly.

“Chucky” will air just in time for Halloween, hitting USA and SYFY on Oct. 12, Collider reported.
