A woman brought the dogs to the LAPD’s Olympic Community Police Station, just northwest of downtown, around 6 p.m, Capt. Jonathan Tippet, commanding officer of the elite Robbery-Homicide Division, told The Associated Press.

Lady Gaga’s representative and detectives went to the station and confirmed that they were the singer’s dogs.

The two French bulldogs, named Koji and Gustav, were stolen on Wednesday night, according to People.

Lady Gaga’s third dog, Asia, escaped and was later found safe, CBS News reported. The pop star’s dogs have their own verified Instagram page.

Lady Gaga is currently in Rome to film a movie, “Gucci,” CBS News reported. She has offered a $500,000 reward for the return of the dogs.

The woman who dropped off the dogs appears to be ”uninvolved and unassociated” with Wednesday night’s attack, Tippet said.

Lady Gaga offered the reward with no questions asked, the Los Angeles Times reported. Tippet declined to discuss the reward, but said Gaga’s representatives were in contact with the woman, meeting with her at the Olympic station.

“I don’t want to get into any discussions about her or where the dogs were actually located,” Tippet said. “We’re providing very little information on this because this is an ongoing investigation and because we are also concerned about her safety.”

Carlos Pantoja, 29, who said he witnessed the shooting from his front porch and called 911, said the assailants were clearly targeting the French bulldogs when they pulled alongside the dog walker.

“They had a motive, and they didn’t care,” Pantoja told the Times.

A Los Angeles police spokesperson told People that a man, identified by a representative of Gaga’s as the entertainer’s dog walker, was shot on Sierra Bonita Avenue in Hollywood around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday. Officials told CNN that the victim was taken to a hospital in stable condition after the shooting.

Family members identified the victim as Ryan Fischer in a statement obtained by Rolling Stone.

“Thankfully, Ryan is receiving extraordinary care in the hospital right now and his doctors expect him to make a full recovery,” family members told Rolling Stone. “We cannot possibly say enough to thank all of the first responders, nurses and doctors who have worked so tirelessly to care for Ryan.”

Police said Fischer was shot around 9:40 p.m. Wednesday while walking three of Gaga’s French bulldogs near the intersection of Sierra Bonita Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. Investigators said two men got out of a white Nissan Altima and held Fischer at gunpoint while demanding he hand over the dogs.

Fischer refused and was shot once by one of the men, authorities said.

Detectives had not identified the two suspects as of Friday, Tippet said.

“We’ve still got our work to do,” Tippet told reporters.

Steve Soboroff, a member of the Los Angeles Police Commission, wrote on Twitter that “let’s get the same public help to find the shooter and his accomplices.”
