Like my dad told me the ice cream truck was OUT of ice cream if we heard the truck playing music.

(I know that’s false now; but when you’re a kid - you believe your parents.)

That’s why I totally understand a caller who told us she was watching the news when she was a kid and the news anchor mentioned “gorilla warfare,” and this listener’s father confirmed there were indeed gorilla fighters. Actual gorillas.

Anyone who has seen Planet Of The Apes as a kid will certainly buy into this thought.

Or those monkeys in Wizard Of Oz.
