Legendary. Iconic. Yes - Dolly Parton!

She’d already become a country music legend by the time Miley Cyrus was born in 1992. Dolly Parton had a close friendship with Miley’s dad, “Achy Breaky Heart” singer Billy Ray Cyrus, so was chose as Miley’s godmother. “She just had a light about her from a young age,” recalled Dolly, who’s vowed to “never, ever bad-mouth Miley, no matter what she does. I just hope she comes out the other end alright.”

Dolly Parton’s inspiration for her song “Nine To Five” was her fingernails! She explained to 60 Minutes she had very long, acrylic nails, and discovered that when she rubbed them together she could create a rhythm that sounded like a typewriter, and since the movie was about secretaries, she was able to use that sound to compose the song on the set. She even played her fingernails as part of the percussion sound when she recorded the track.
