EASY’s Pet of the Week: Basil

Seeking #FureverHome

Want to add some spice to your life?  If so, three-year-old Basil (ID A656247) is waiting to meet you at the Humane Society of Broward County.  This cutie was happy to crawl into Jeff’s lap, and even gave him a few kisses, when they spent some time together recently.  Basil is an affectionate kitty, who may not play with toys, but he does enjoy looking out the window and being with people.  He is good with other felines and would love to go home with you.  Thanks to Bob L. his adoption fee is sponsored, he just needs someone to give him a chance.  Could it be you?

The Humane Society of Broward County is located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, a block west of I95.  Please complete a pre-adoption application at www.humanebroward.com prior to visiting.  Appointments are not necessary, and the adoption department opens daily at 11 a.m.  For questions, call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.  The shelter dogs are also in need of durable chew toys and soft treats.  You can find our wish lists on Amazon and Chewy.”

Adoption Ambassador: If you can provide a temporary home for a large-breed dog, become an Adoption Ambassador for the Humane Society of Broward County. Ambassadors help market the pet through your network of friends and associates, while giving the pet a vacation from the shelter environment. Sometimes a different setting is all that is needed to help our furry friends find their forever home.

Spay/Neuter Services: Those surgeries for the public’s pets have been suspended at this time.

Animal Admissions: Opens at 8 AM daily and closes at 6:30 Monday – Saturday and 5:30 on Sunday.
